Get to know the people behind Western Frac Vap and where we come from.
Of course, no story about Western Frac Vap can start
without the story of our CEO and Inventor Garry Bush.
He is the driving force behind this company and the
tireless inspiration to all of us to keep pushing for
the impossible, knowing there is no such thing

Garry Bush has been actively engaged in the industrial refrigeration industry for over four decades. His training comes through his family where the last three generations have worked as the thermal mechanical system service and installation specialists.
He was trained in 1970 as a compressor over hauler, when he was employed by Cimco Lewis, which is Canada’s largest industrial refrigeration organization, serving North America and International markets.
Garry holds a Masters Inter-Provincial Refrigeration License in the province of British Columbia. In addition, he is licensed in refrigeration, air conditioning, and gas fitting in three Canadian provinces – Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta.
He also co-authored the book entitled “Hydraulic Fracturing Operations – Handbook of Environmental Management Practices.”
Garry has worked on refrigeration systems such as Confederation Freezers, Toronto Food Terminal, and the Cara Flight Kitchen at the Toronto International Airport. He has designed innovative equipment for the energy market with a propane chilling system, being the first of many innovative designs to reach the Alberta oil and gas market. This is a mobile 2 stage liquid overfeed ammonia liquefaction system for the natural gas drilling industry which liquefies gas Flares.
Garry is currently spear-heading the effort to bring the Frac Vap innovation to the desalination market where water for drinking and for growing crops is scarce. In addition, he is introducing his technology to the hydraulic fracturing marketplace. The Frac Vac is another mobile processing system that provides complete desalination and frac fluid flow back cleaning and processing. This system is sure to revolutionize the desalination market and the oil and gas industries in Canada, and very possibly throughout the world.
During years of research Mr. Bush studied equipment from all over the world. He noticed one consistent problem with every available desalination technique at the time, which nobody had a solution for.
That’s where Mr. Bush shines. He built his first prototype and began testing. Thousands of hours of testing reiteration after reiteration of his original prototype. He recalls being stuck out in the -40 weather for hours at a time because his lab was simply too full of smoke to return. Eventually, as he does, he cracked it. He developed a system which could desalinate fluids from 300,000 ppm down to the level of sea water at 35000 ppm. The best part of this startling breakthrough was how little energy was required to start the process, which was an exothermic reaction that fed into itself, creating energy instead of using it! It wasn’t long before he put his process through rigorous third party testing, using frac water from the many oil companies still operating in Alberta today, and not long after that he was again filing for patents on another scientific and mechanical breakthrough that will disrupt the industry entirely. Western Frac Vap Inc. is proudly presenting this new, proprietary and patented system as a fully realised and amalgamated desalination and purification total solution.
It couldn’t have come any sooner. This system will allow communities in need the option of having a reasonably priced method to process their water. Water scarcity, and the trauma and chaos it brings with it, can become an unpleasant historical lesson for our children and their descendants. True water freedom is here and it is attainable for everybody and every need. This system is designed to service the needs of the agriculture industry, the potable (drinking) water industry and even mining and frac’ing, the dirty processes that inspired Mr. Bush to change the world.
We are actively recruiting bright minds willing to take on one of the greatest challenges facing
mankind today. It’s not an easy job. Not for the engineers and not for the sales people.
It takes a certain measure of salt that just won’t come out of you. (If you didn’t get that, you’re
not right for the role). It is an exciting and rewarding company to work for, however, knowing
that you’re playing a role in solving the Global Water Crisis makes it easy to take a lot on;
that’s what we need right now. People willing to take a lot on. We’ll list specific positions here as they
come up, but if you think you’d be a good fit right now don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our VPs
with a resume and cover letter. If you’d like to be notified when new positions open up,
the sign up form is below. We expect to be hiring a LOT very shortly, so be prepared!
